Important Notes for Your River Adventure

Floating the North Fork River is one of the best ways to unwind, explore nature, and make memories. Before you head out, here are a few things to keep in mind to help you enjoy the experience to the fullest.

Pack smart: Bring water, sunscreen, snacks, and a dry bag for anything that you do not want getting wet.

Dress for the river: Wear secure water shoes or sandals (flip-flops tend to float away), and bring a hat or sunglasses for sun protection.

Avoid glass: Glass containers are not allowed on the river and a fine will result if this rule is not followed.

Protect your valuables: Leave jewelry, electronics, and anything you wouldn’t want to get wet back at your cabin. If you take valuables on the river make sure that they are in a dry bag that is fastened securely to the boat.

Stay together: Stick with your group, especially when floating with children.

Safety Reminders

Floating is an unsupervised outdoor activity with natural risks, including swift water, submerged objects, and changing conditions.

Life jackets are provided with every rental. Missouri law requires life jackets for children under 14 years, and we strongly encourage all guests to wear them at all times while on the river.

Please check weather forecasts and water levels before your float.

Children should always be supervised by an adult.

If you’re new to floating or unsure about water conditions, please talk to our staff. We’re happy to help you choose the best float for your group.

Disclaimer: River of Life Farm is not responsible for accidents or injuries on the river. All guests float at their own risk. The information above is provided for general awareness and is not a substitute for personal judgment or preparation.
