Family Hike
Adventure begins the moment little feet hit the trail.
The Family Hike is a playful, nature-filled experience designed to help children explore the outdoors with curiosity and wonder.
Each family receives a set of scavenger-style discovery cards featuring forest animals, plants, and natural treasures to look for along the trail. Think, “I Spy” woven into the beauty of the woods. As you hike together, children can search, spot, and celebrate each new discovery while making meaningful memories in nature.
Simple, screen-free, and full of joy, The Family Hike invites families to slow down, explore together, and experience the magic of River of Life Farm through a child’s eyes.
The Connection Trail
For couples seeking something deeper than a walk in the woods, The Connection Trail offers a simple, meaningful experience created to help you reconnect in nature.
You’ll receive a trail map and a small stack of thoughtfully written connection cards, with peaceful stopping points marked along the way. When you reach each destination, open the next card, pause together, and let the conversation unfold.
This complimentary guided connection hike is our invitation to unplug from daily distractions, deepen your relationship, and rediscover the joy of being fully present together.
The Reflection Trail
Created for small groups, retreats, and shared moments of meaning, the Reflection Trail offers a quiet space to slow down together in the beauty of nature.
Group leaders receive a simple trail guide with thoughtfully chosen stopping points designed for conversation, reflection, or prayer—whatever best fits the purpose of your time away. Along the path, gentle prompts invite deeper connection, encouraging participants to step away from distraction and engage with one another in an authentic and unhurried way.
Like all of our trail experiences, the Reflection Trail is complimentary for guests of River of Life Farm. It exists for a simple reason: meaningful conversations happen more naturally when surrounded by stillness, fresh air, and space to breathe.
Whether you are gathering for renewal, celebration, or rest, this shared walk creates room for connection that lasts long after the trail ends.

Fishing
Fishing on the North Fork River
Fish one of Missouri’s most sought-after wild trout streams during your stay at River of Life Farm.
Our riverfront property is located within the Blue Ribbon section of the North Fork of the White River.
This is catch-and-release fishing at its best with no stocking, just naturally sustained trout that draw anglers from across the country.
Whether you’re an experienced fly fisherman chasing technical water or casting for the first time, you’ll find space, quiet, and a stretch of river that lets you fish at your own pace.

Stargazing
Where the Night Sky Still Gets Dark
Far from city lights and crowded skies, the night unfolds differently here.
At River of Life Farm, darkness is deep enough to reveal thousands of stars, the soft glow of the Milky Way, and the quiet wonder of a sky most people never truly see.
This isn’t just stargazing, it’s the rare stillness of being somewhere untouched, where the world slows down.
Why the skies are so dark here
Our property is tucked deep in the North Fork River valley of the Missouri Ozarks. Every structure here is surrounded by forest with distance between you and your closest neighboring cabin.
With minimal artificial light reaching from distant towns, the stars shine brighter, clearer, and closer than most guests have experienced in years.
On clear nights, you can often see:
- The Milky Way stretching across the sky
- Meteor showers throughout the seasons
- Constellations normally hidden by city glow
- A depth of stars that feels almost unreal
It’s the kind of darkness that reminds you how beautiful night can be.
Simple ways to experience the night
Stargazing here doesn’t require a telescope or a plan, just a quiet place to look up.
- Guests often enjoy the night sky from:
- Private cabin decks. Shut off all interior and exterior cabin lights to reduce light pollution.
Open meadow views perfect for blankets and late-night conversations. Ask at the office for a map to the best stargazing spots.
